To be admitted, you must meet the admission requirements of the Graduate School and your graduate program. The complete application must consist of the following admission materials:

Please note: In addition to the Graduate School Admissions Application there may be an admissions application required by the department.
2. Application Fee
**EKU IS WAIVING THE $40 APPLICATION FEE FOR THE 21-22 ACADEMIC YEAR! **PLEASE DISREGARD ANY MENTION OF THE ADMISSION FEE.
A non-refundable $40.00 application fee is required for all applications. The easiest way to pay is with a credit card when applying online. Once you have submitted your application you can still pay your application fee online by going to the EKU Graduate School Admissions Page. Do not send cash. Applications will not be processed until the app fee has been received.
3. Official Entrance Examination Scores
Please refer to the graduate program page to determine which exam, if any, is required for your program course of study. Only official examination scores, sent directly from the testing center, may be used to grant clear admission. Copies of examination scores are not acceptable.

4. Official Transcripts
Official transcripts must bear the seal and signature of the registrar of the sending institution and come directly from the institution or be issued to the student by the sending institution in a sealed envelope. Transcripts for graduates of EKU will be obtained by the Graduate School. The address for mailing transcripts for graduate admissions is:

5. Statement of Personal and Professional Objectives
Write a brief essay outlining your personal and professional objectives pertaining to your graduate course of study. Your statement must be sufficiently detailed so that your intended program of study can ascertain your objectives in seeking a graduate degree. Applicants are encouraged to contact their perspective graduate program for additional details about the statement of objectives.
Personal Objectives Statements may be completed as part of the online application process, or they may be emailed to Graduate School email account (please include your full name, DOB, EKU ID # and the department for which you are applying).
6. Letters of Recommendation
If your intended program requires letters of recommendation, please check with your program course of study to determine how you should submit your letters. Some programs require the recommendation be submitted freely by the respondant while others may have a designated form- which might be found within the online application, depending on program. *Please note most all programs expect letters of recommendation to be submitted by respondent instead of applicant.
*Admission applications are only valid for one academic year. The file will be destroyed and the applicant will be required to submit a new application after this time.
